Heater Cores
Heater Cores
Heater cores are small, compact heat exchangers typically made of aluminum or copper/brass, found in vehicle heating systems. They resemble mini radiators and are used to transfer engine heat into the cabin. In scrap form, heater cores are usually rectangular with tightly packed metal fins and small tubing. They may be clean or have attached plastic or steel components, depending on how they were removed. Their non-ferrous metal content makes them a valuable material in recycling.
