Sheet Iron

Sheet Iron

Sheet Iron refers to thin, flat pieces of steel or iron commonly found in household appliances, shelving, file cabinets, auto body panels, and ductwork.

In scrap form, sheet iron may have rust, paint, plastic, screws, insulation, or other attachments still present. It’s lightweight compared to structural steel but can vary in cleanliness and condition. This category includes a mix of painted, dirty, or slightly contaminated sheet metal that still holds recycling value, though at a lower grade than clean sheet iron.
